Gordon Van Ness
Gordon Van Ness was professor of English at Longwood University in Virginia, where he taught for thirty-one years before retiring in 2018. He is the author or editor of six books on James Dickey, including a two-volume collection THE ONE VOICE OF JAMES DICKEY: HIS LIFE AND LETTERS, 1942-1997 as well as Dickey's posthumous volume of poems DEATH, AND THE DAY'S LIGHT.
