Philip Lee Williams
Philip Lee Williams is the much-honored author of numerous volumes of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. He won the 2004 Michael Shaara Award for the best Civil War novel published in the U.S. He has also been named Georgia Author of the Year four times in three different categories and is a winner of a Georgia Governor’s Award in the Humanities. Williams is a winner of the Townsend Prize for Fiction and is a member of the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame. He lives in the woods in north central Georgia.
