Andrew Schulze was a white pastor of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod who spent his early ministry serving black mission churches in Springfield IL (1924–1928); St. Louis MO (1928–1947); and Chicago (1947–1954). He was an early proponent of the Civil Rights Movement in the Midwest. He wrote My Neighbor of Another Color and founded the Lutheran Human Relations Association of America (LHRAA) in 1953.
